Gelatin refers to a flavourless, translucent, and colourless substance and its texture is brittle when dry and gummy while moist. It is sourced from the collagen of animal body parts. To process this gelatin, a Gelatin melting tank system or gelatin melting mixing manufacturing plant is used. The gelatin melter heats dissolve and melt gelatin powder, water and glycerine into a homogenous liquid. Gelatin drying is a very important process because fast heating will melt the gelatin instead of drying and slow drying will increase its moisture. Therefore a gradual increase in temperature with dehumidified air is necessary.
Why Gelatin Melter is important– This equipment helps in soft gel production and gelatin melting is the first crucial process. If this process is not carried out efficiently, the subsequent processes remain unsuccessful. Soft gel Gelatin has its uses in the health care, pharmacy, cosmetics, paintball, and food industry.
The Gelatin melting tank is a three-layered structure that includes one layer of the inside tank body, one layer of the heating jacket, and the outer insulation cladding. There is an axial which is connected to the mixing structure and a stirring paddle is attached to it. The Jacket uses hot water circulation with strong heating for faster Gelatin melting. The system consists of a hydraulic lifter, stirring blender, and frequency control system. The stirring blender is vertically put in the container with a depth of one-third from the bottom so that the topmost contents can flow freely. It removes any bubbles in the medium with the help of grooves in the guide cylinder. The hydraulic lifter then transports it to a glue barrel. The hydraulic lifter holds the stirring blender in any position it requires.
Tips while considering a Gelatin Melting Mixing plant– A few points should be pondered upon while choosing a Gelatin melter. They are-
Capsule Filling Machine, Capsule Filler – Semi, Automatic and Manual and their demands depending on requirements
Capsule Filling machines empty soft or hard capsules with kinds of powders, semi-solids, a liquid containing a mixture of active drug substances. The types of capsule filling machines depend on-
There are three types of encapsulators-
Manual/Hand-Operated Capsule Filling Machine – These are ideal for small to medium batch production. The capsule tray is filled with colourless and transparent capsules. Then the capsule caps are separated from their bodies. The body is filled with ingredients. After re-arranging caps and bodies, the machine expels out filled capsules.
Semi-Automatic Capsule Filling Machine – This machine incorporates a conveyor system where the filled capsules are transported to a capsule polishing machine. A pump helps in sucking and moving the filled capsules. The polishing machine is responsible for cleaning the capsules. It has a chamber with a rotating brush that removes particles from the surface of the capsules. A vacuum cleaner is attached to the chamber to suck out the de-dusted powder from the chamber. After this process, the capsules pass through an empty capsule ejector where any capsule that is empty by error is rejected and ejected out. Next, it is passed through a damaged capsule sorter which removes any diametrically distorted capsules. The semi-automatic capsule filler ensures minimum human interaction.
Automatic Capsule Filling Machine – This machine is a fully automatic one with capsule separation, filling, and locking can be done automatically. This process involves the sorting and orientation of capsules where the hollow capsules fall into the work plate with many holes. The small differences of the holes and vacuum pumping leave the cap on the upper plate and body on the lower plate. The next step is powder encapsulation where the upper plate moves away and the lower plate comes under encapsulation for filling. The wasted capsules get eliminated from the upper plate and the aligning axis of the upper and lower plates locks the capsule by external pressure. The locked capsules are pushed out from the holes of upper and lower plates and the vacuum cleaner cleans the system of any residual waste.
Uses and Applications -The capsule filling machine is used in various industries like chemical, pharmaceutical, animal food and food. Capsule fillers are used in pharmaceutical industries for large scale production with high efficiency.
